orion-2x-4-element-barlow-lens-2
Orion 2x 4-Element Barlow Lens - 2"

This high quality 2" 4-Element Barlow Lens from Orion will provide a power-doubling magnification boost to all of your 1.25" eyepieces, giving you exceptional image quality. This lens' superior features and 4-element design minimizes chromatic and spherical aberrations while preserving image sharpness and contrast.

The high power 2x Barlow doubles the magnifying power of any 2" eyepiece, which it does by basically dividing the eyepiece's focal length by a factor of 2. You can easily determine how each of your 2" telescope eyepieces will perform when inserted in this Barlow Lens. For example, using a 12mm eyepiece in the High-Power 2x Barlow will provide the same magnification you would normally get from a 6mm eyepiece (12 / 2 = 6). An included 2" to 1.25" step-down adapter allows use of both smaller 1.25" and big 2" oculars with the versatile Orion High-Power 2" 2x Barlow lens.

This Barlow lens will yield better color correction and less distortion than its 2- or 3-element Barlow counterparts, since the Orion High-Power 2x Barlow is equipped with a sophisticated, 4-element, fully multi-coated lens design. Contrast is maximized due to the blackened interior and blackened lens edges that eliminate any internal glare or off-axis reflections. Your power-boosted observations will be optimized in regards to sharpness, clarity, and brightness, giving you a wonderful viewing experience.

You're able to use this Barlow lens with longer focal length eyepieces if you want to experience a more comfortable view with better eye relief and edge sharpness than a lower focal length eyepiece. Considering the fact that lower focal length eyepieces usually have a very small eye lens that makes it difficult to peer through, using a longer focal length eyepiece in the Orion High-Power 2x Barlow will allow you to enjoy twice the magnifying power while maintaining the comfortable eye relief and sharp field edge.

A brass compression ring inside both the main 2" and 1.25" step-down adapter of the High-Power 2x Barlow lens helps to keep any inserted 2" or 1.25" eyepiece both free of scratches and thumbscrew gouges. The lens is fashioned with a rubber grip exterior that provides a sure grip and the 2" barrel features a safety recess to keep the Barlow Lens from falling out of a focuser or diagonal if the retaining thumbscrew becomes loose. This Barlow's barrel is also threaded for easy use with 2" Orion filters.

Orion's 4-element 2x Barlow will give your 2" telescope eyepieces a power-doubling magnification boost!

Perfect for high-magnification lunar and planetary observations and astrophotography

Enjoy twice the power while maintaining comfortable eye relief and edge sharpness of longer focal length eyepieces

Included step-down adapter allows use of both 2" and 1.25" size eyepieces

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0830/5518/2072/files/orion-2x-4-element-barlow-lens---2_1.png?v=1793406281
