<>Flight Numbers & Performance
Boasting official flight numbers of 12 | 6 | -3 | 2, the Halo Star Tern is engineered to maximize your airtime. The exceptional 6 glide keeps the disc soaring, while the heavy -3 turn allows it to flip up and ride to the right (for RHBH throws) before the dependable 2 fade gently pulls it back to center. Even though it is a 12-speed, the massive glide and understability make it a highly workable distance driver for a wide variety of arm speeds.
| Speed | Glide | Turn | Fade |

How the Halo Star Tern fits your game:
- Max Distance S-Curves: Ideal for wide-open fairways where you can let the disc flex, turn, and glide for maximum distance.
- Power Hyzer-Flips: The slightly firmer feel of the Halo plastic allows players with faster arm speeds to throw it hard on a hyzer, trusting it to flip up flat and ride without instantly burning into the ground.
- Tailwind Bombs: The combination of high glide and understability helps the Tern carry incredibly far when you have a tailwind helping push it downfield.
The Halo Star Plastic Advantage
Innova’s Halo Star plastic is visually striking, featuring a bright, pearlescent interior flight plate surrounded by a contrasting, darker outer rim. Beyond the incredible looks, Halo Star is heavily sought after for its performance. It retains the phenomenal, all-weather grip of standard Star plastic but typically molds up slightly stiffer. This firmer feel often translates to a touch more torque resistance out of the box, meaning your Halo Tern will hold its optimal flight characteristics for a significantly longer time.

Looking for a faster break-in, a glow option, or the uniquely stable Champion flight? Check out these other premium blends in our inventory:
- Star Tern: The standard premium opaque blend. It offers excellent grip and the classic -3 turn, usually breaking in a little faster than the Halo Star version.
- Pro Tern: Provides exceptional glide and a tacky grip, breaking into a heavily understable flyer much faster than premium plastics.
- Proto Glow Tern: Innova's upgraded glow-in-the-dark plastic for highly visible night rounds (also features the -3 turn).
- Champion Tern: Notably more stable. It is the only Tern uniquely rated with a -2 turn, making it fight the wind better while taking much longer to break in.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Halo Star Tern fly differently than the standard Star Tern?
While both the Halo Star and standard Star Terns share the same 12 | 6 | -3 | 2 flight numbers, Halo Star plastic generally molds up slightly stiffer. Out of the box, you might find the Halo version has just a touch more torque resistance and takes a little longer to beat into its flippiest state compared to a standard Star Tern.
Is the Halo Star Tern good for beginners?
Because it is a high-speed 12-speed driver, the Tern is not recommended for absolute beginners. However, for advancing players who have mastered 9-speed and 10-speed fairways, the Tern's massive glide and -3 turn make it one of the most accessible and rewarding discs for stepping up into maximum distance drivers.
What makes Halo Star plastic unique?
Halo Star is a specialized manufacturing process that creates a stunning two-tone visual effect—a lighter interior flight plate surrounded by a darker, contrasting rim or "halo." Structurally, it offers the same premium durability and grip as Star plastic, but with a slightly firmer feel that many power throwers prefer.
